The holiday season is coming to an end, and we hope yours was great. While we're nearing the release of the Southern Tunisia Campaign, here's an update packed with a ton of quality of life updates, reworks, and brand new additions to polish the Easy Red experience as we go into 2026!
New Features:
Uniforms and Gear:
Fully reworked British infantry uniforms and vests along with many new variants.
Uniforms added:
UK Austerity Uniform (closed, open, scarf variants).
UK Battledress Uniform (closed, open, scarf, jerkin).
UK KD (Khaki Drill) Uniform (Used in North Africa).
Intermixed variants with battledress top, KD shorts, KD pants, KD top.

Eastern Europe buildings (Stalingrad DLC)
20+ new Eastern Europe buildings, from sheds to huts as well as churches and windmills.
Added camo variants to many new tanks, including Italian tanks, Panzer I and P40.
Added a new system to switch between scope and iron sight without removing the scope attachment. (Press the ranging keys or use scroll wheel!)
Added ability to adjust FPS viewmodel position. Currently located in graphics settings --> "Gun Position X, Y, Z".
Fully reworked Map Editor UI with various new tools (more info in next section).
Reworked main menu scene.
TPS camera toggle is now separated between infantry, ground vehicles and aircrafts.

Vehicle Improvements
Added dynamic camo system to LCVP landing craft, LCA landing craft, LVT landing craft, LVT(a) tanks, Panzer I, and all Italian vehicles.
Added new texture variants to P40 Warhawk according to year.
Improved treads on KV series tanks.
Reworked most of the camo patterns.
Map Editor
All ground textures in map editor renamed for clarity.
Map editor now features various new tools and improvements:
Ocean: Add waves (directional or random), change depth coloring, and change depth height (depth where you stop being able to see through water).
Solar Elevation, North Direction, and Weather is now all under the "weather" tab.
Map Locations is now its own tab.
Terrain Editor now has increased brush sizes.
New Paint Props Tool (formerly tree tool):
Multiple prop may now be selected.
You can change the average height, as well as the variance at random between the props being placed with the tool.
Random tilt degrees for props being placed for more natural appearing formations
"Align with ground" tool for making props automatically rotate and adjust to the angle of the ground (avoids floating props)
Minimum clip distance, so props cannot overlap with each other when using the tool.
New grass editor ability to create natural open spaces between grass clusters, for less dense areas.
Uniforms and Gear:
Texture improvements for standard German uniforms.
Major texture improvements for British Brodie helmets (standard and African versions)
Texture improvements for British P40 Battledress uniform, as well as Khaki Drill uniform seen in North Africa
Texture improvements for British greatcoat.
British berets reworked (model and textures)
Improved multiplayer security.
Reworked vanilla crosshair.
Improved various FPS animations, including for the Garand, Springfield, Type 24, MP40, WZ35 and locomotion animations.
Fixed various issues with tank textures.
Fixed a bug that was causing Normandy Map props to stop spawning after some time in the battle.
Various bug fixes and corrections in missions.
Upgraded modding SDK to include new features and better UI.
Reworked uniforms & vehicles
Fully reworked T-34s with some new variants. (Stalingrad DLC)
Reworked M3/M5 Stuart tanks along with adding some new variants, including the RECCE scout variant.
Reworked Panther tank (now Panther D)-- A and G variant also being currently worked on.
Some examples of the latest reworked Commonwealth uniforms and equipment. British loadouts now includes over 80 different clothing pieces.
South Tunisia coming soon!
Southern Tunisia is very close to nearing completion, with what's seeming to be 14 brand new missions.
Here's what to expect:
Gafsa Airfield Raid by US Paratroopers in November 1942
Operation Frühlingswind and the battles of Faid Pass, Sidi-Bou-Zid, and Kasserine Pass--known as one of the most major losses by the United States in World War 2.
German stalemates at Sbiba Gap, Tebessa and Thala
English/Commonwealth advance on the Mareth Line in the South
Final phase of the battle of El Guettar where American forces retake the valley region.
Final German defense at the Tebaga Gap in April 1943 (leading to the events of the Northern Tunisia campaign)
There are multiple tank-focused battles, featuring the involvement of many different factions! The allies featuring those seen previously in North Tunisia such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, but now accompanying them are New Zealander forces, Indian forces, and Gurkha forces, much like we saw in the Battle of Monte Cassino released a couple months back. With the heavy involvement of Italy in southern Tunisian operations, this brings the grand total of factions involved in this campaign to 8!
To distinguish it from the currently existing Tunisia North, we are likely to release it as its own campaign-- likely titled "Southern Tunisia Operations", with the northern campaign renamed to "Northern Tunisia Operations".
Southern Tunisia is coming next update, and PC beta users can expect it in the coming weeks for testing! We sincerely hope you'll enjoy it.
Hungary DLC Progress
What would a Hungarian DLC be without the Hungarian Army?
A wide range of uniforms, weapons, vehicles, and voice acting is currently being produced for the upcoming Hungary DLC, introducing the new Hungarian faction.
Here is a very early sneak peek at what is currently being worked on. As always, we aim to be as historically accurate as we can with our uniforms. We are aware that this early showcase still contains a few elements that need adjustment to achieve a truly authentic representation of the Hungarian Army, but we are excited to share the progress made so far and hope you enjoy.
As announced we have plenty late war weapons and vehicles being worked on for the Hungary DLC. Here's some of the ones recently finalized, of course with multiple camo variations:
We are also working on the Romanian Army. Below is a work-in-progress look at their uniform and loadout.
In addition, significant progress is being made on buildings, props, and map development. Later, we will get to weapons and even more vehicles. We will be showing more on everything in the coming months... stay tuned!
Letter from Corvostudio: Easy Red 2 in 2025
2025 marked a huge year for Easy Red 2. The Shanghai-Nanking DLC released with major support, and 7 campaigns were reworked in effort to bring ER2 up to a new, higher standard-- also with huge support from you the community.
Our community has grown so much this year, and we at Corvostudio couldn't be more grateful for all of you. Whether you're on PC or console, new or old, we hope you love what we've done this year and we hope you're gonna love what we have in store for 2026. Easy Red 2 has been an ever-improving journey, and we hope you'll stick around as we strive to be even better.

Our most recent DLC was released earlier this year! In Easy Red 2: Shanghai-Nanking, you fight for control of Shanghai, and the conflict will spread to locations such as: Luodian, Baoshan, Wusong, Jinshanwei, Hongkou, Suzhou creek, Chunhua, the Yuhuatai hills and the city of Nanjing.
