Good evening everyone,
At the start of the year, I had very ambitious plans to complete the last 2 nights by the end of this year. As we tried to work on both nights simultaneously, I soon realized how difficult it will be to produce them, due to the fact that both nights have a lot of new things that we haven't done before. So afterwards, we tried to adjust our estimates and aimed to release the next night by the end of this year. Unfortunately, we won't be able to fulfil our plans the way we were hoping for.
In its current state, Night 5 is in a great shape and is becoming one of the best nights (yet), but it still needs more time to develop. All the voice actors have done an amazing job acting out their lines, our lead programmer has done amazing things to make the main game mechanics work, and our main 3D artist is putting a lot of love in her models and animations as well. From code to sound to visuals to writing - everyone has done an S-tier work so far. Unfortunately, some things are taking longer than we were hoping for, and we just need more time.
On behalf of our dev team, I sincerely apologize for disappointing you and making you wait even longer. I am truly grateful for your patience and I am committed in doing my best to move things forward with Night 5 and not strain our team members. I've even brought some of my closest friends into the project to help out with various things, so I'm using all the help I can get.
I felt like putting forward a rough timeframe would help us to move towards a definite goal, but all it ended up doing was cause unnecessary pressure and anxiety. So going forward, we will only announce more definite release dates which will be closer to the actual releases IRL. That way we can be more confident in our estimates and avoid moments such as these in the future.
With that said, thank you for sticking with us. Night 5 release is inevitable - a lot of those difficulties and challenges have been overcome, and now we just need to finish certain things that just need more time. The long wait will soon come to an end - that's 100% certain.
