We've just released a patch for Nice Day for Fishing for Steam, ahead of our Winter event content going live in Honeywood (more details on that later in this post 👀).
This patch brings improvements to Seasonal Events including the Shop Goblin, who now has voicelines, a new option to look down whilst on boats, and a host of bug fixes, all in advance of our Winter Seasonal Event starting on 15th December!

Additions
Added option whilst on boats to look down whilst pressing down.
Added small tweaks in preparation for the upcoming changing of the season in Honeywood, taking place on 15th December.
Changes & Improvements
Change to the bait of fish, which is now rendered over the environment.
Improvements to the Seasonal Shop Goblin, which now has voice lines.
Changed the fairy collecting sound.
Updated spawn rate, spawn locations and costs for some seasonal items.
Changes to the credits.
Fixes
Fixed an issue with an occasional crash when loading the credits at end of the game.
Fixes to some unhidden Achievements
Fixed an issue where equipped bait on magnet hook would appear after loading.
Fixed an issue where releasing corrupted fish caused them to lose their glowing effect.
Fixed screenshake issue after skipping cutscenes.
Fixed an issue where the Ghost of Thidon can fly away when using a fast sail to follow him.
Fixed Visual flickering when learning multiple spells from Thidon.
Fixed an issue where basic sail details were visible after disabling DLCs.
Fixed an issue around the achievement for rebuilding the town, which was occasionally not checking for Fred's house level.
Fixed glitches where items as a skin would not work as intended.
Fixed an issue where the equip new sail tutorial would be shown in unfitting situations.
Fixed an issue with the trigger zones when talking to the Mayor at beach and using the interaction button.
Fixed an issue where health points at bar of elite fish would occasionally be wrong when a fish had previously been released.
Fixed an issue where stun status would be ignored when selecting an item.
Fixed an issue where multiple hammers would appear when saving before a certain quest.
Fixed an issue when pulling the hook out of water when using lure function at surface.
Fixed an issue where elite fish would be marked as quest targets when their regular versions are needed.
Fixed an issue where the language would not change when in Windows mode.
Fixed cut of ray effect when boss enemies cast spells.
Fixed an issue where the options button would not highlighted when game is finished.
Fixed an issue with the character indicator, which was not shown over the player when quitting before the first quest.
Fixed an issue where sometimes the game would crash on first launch.
Fixed an issue where consumables would not be removed when shocked.
Fixed an issue where Items used as skins still appear when disabling DLCs.
Fixed performance issues, especially issues around low performance when a players' inventory is full.
Fixed a game crash, which would occur when autosaving with no free space.
Fixed an occasional issue where a black screen would persist after a lost battle.
Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when messaged in Microsoft Teams.
Fixed issues with Hydra boss attacks.
Fixed an issue where you'd have total free movement after losing to a boss.
Fixes to indicators on map at Advanced Boat Crafting quest, reducing the amount of indicators.
Fixed an issue where focus would be incorrect when skipping intros at a certain moments.
Fixed an occasional issue where the game would infinite black screen after finishing the game.
Fixed an issue where fullscreen mode would only work after switching modes.
Fixed issues with the descriptions of some achievements.
Winter Seasonal Event - Arrives 15th December 🎄
In case you missed it, our Free Content Update back in October brought major additions and improvements to our game, which included all new Seasonal Events in Honeywood!
We've had Honeywood's Halloween event... and we're thrilled to announce that Winter is coming to Honeywood on 15th December! ❄️ In just under two weeks, our Christmas themed Seasonal Event will begin for Nice Day for Fishing.
During Christmas, festive presents need to be dredged from the sea like treasure chests. With presents, you can obtain items like the Sugar Cane Rod, a Snowman Sail, and more.
We hope you are excited for the festive season and will join us in celebrating by exploring Honeywood's snowy makeover and all that's new in our Christmas Seasonal Event! 🎁
