Melody Mania v1.5.2 has been released! 🎉
This is a minor update focused on stability improvements and bug fixes. Changes include
Settings: use 'Scrolling Note Display Mode' by default, for better visualization of rythm.
Theme: Use semi-transparent lyrics box in default theme, to show more of the background image or video.
Song select: shortcut to toggle current song in 'last edited playlist', instead of only 'favorites playlist' ( #549 ). This approach is more flexible. The default 'last used playlist' is still the 'favorites playlist'.
Mod 'Jukebox & Sing' respects the currently selected playlist from song select ( #548 ).
Song format: ignore more known headers (e.g. do not log warning for 'PROVIDEDBY').
Song editor: option for word separator and syllable separator for editing lyrics. This fixes a problem with languages that can have a space inside a word, e.g., Russian language ( #552 ).
Preload libVLC on app startup (before the main menu). This avoid the initial loading lag later when playing the game.
Update libVLC plugin.
Update WebView plugin.
Fixes
Fix security vulnerability ( CVE-2025-59489 ) via upgrade to Unity 6.2.
Fix memory leak and performance drain, notably in song select (images and audio art was loaded twice, but not all instances had been freed later).
Fix bad performance when singing with Companion App ( #550 ).
Fix missing characters in UI for some non-latin languages (enabled multi-atlas textures for fonts).
Fix song parsing of tags that depend on GAP, e.g., MEDLEYSTARTBEAT and MEDLEYENDBEAT.
Before this fix, it was only correct when GAP was before the other fields in the txt file.
Fix mod 'pass the mic': time should not increase when game is paused ( #544 ).
Fix microphone names with special characters (escape Rich Text in #554 ).
