Indeed! The goal was to implement the French version as well as add controller support.
You said it was for early 2025
My personal environment changed rapidly afterward, and I couldn't gather the people necessary to finish the update. The update is stuck at 90% completion. Once it's finished, I'll make sure to let you know, but as it stands, I can't promise any date. Sorry about that :(

This is time to be transparent.
I am still inexperienced, the update has been dragging for very long and I made mistakes that ensure the game would be in an actual worse state than what it is today. This is a technical cul-de-sac that I put myself in I hadn't realize at the time
I cannot accept a regression of that level, even if it means renouncing to the major feature planned (french translation, better controller support.)

Now here's the big part!
Reborn a Zombie 2 is progressing nicely.
I've kept quiet this whole time in order to focus on giving everything I've got for this game! Here are the major milestones:
The game's first half is fully playable. You can try it out yourself via our Discord server.
The story of RaZ2 is structured around 2 chapters, each about the length of the first episode. This is the first half.
It still uses placeholder and temporary assets. So be mindful that it's still far from the finished version.
The second half is ongoing and progressing nicely.
I'm halfway done with coding that second half. Reborn a Zombie is written in a way that demands a lot of line-per-line coding and consideration when "directing" the game.
This is why it has taken a lot more time: Reborn a Zombie 2 is a lot more ambitious when it comes to acting and directing. I believe it will pay off in the end, and I hope you're looking forward to it.

The game is about 50% done on the character art department. This is where most of the workload is at the moment.
So, do we have a release date?
No! I don't want to announce a release date unless it's 100% certain.
Will it have a french version?
No.
