Hello Survivors!

It’s been a while! Nomad is now running on Unity 6, bringing a wave of improvements under the hood—better performance, smoother gameplay, and a solid foundation for the road ahead. It took a very long time converting the game to this new version, especially when everything else needed to be updated.

Alongside the engine upgrade, there's new content, automation features, balance tweaks, and a mountain of bug fixes. There’s a lot to unpack—read on for the full changelog!

Servers have been wiped due to this update.

Nomad is 10 years old

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has ever played the game. Whether you were here at the start or only stopped by for a while, it truly means a lot to me. Even if you’ve moved on, the fact that you spent time in Nomad is something I’ll always appreciate. Here's to 10 more years to 1.0 release! :D

Water Barrels Changes

Water Barrels will now automatically fill up nearby Hydroponics Stations when the station runs out of Water Bottles and there are still seeds inside left. Water Barrel must have Water Bottles inside it for this to work.

Fuel Table Changes

Fuel Tables will automatically fill up nearby Generators with Fuel when the generator runs out. Fuel Table must have Fuel inside for this to work.

New Item, Blood Moon Amulet

Blood Moon Amulets are now in the game and when used will spawn a Blood Moon on the next sunset. Blood Moon Amulets can be found in Blood Moon Graves or trading Lost Souls to The Reaper during a Blood Moon.

New Furnace, Blast Furnace

A new furnace has been added, the Blast Furnace. This furnace is a bigger and better furnace and has 40 slots to smelt all your nomad things.

Automation With Machines

Managing your machines just got a whole lot easier. With the new update, you can now automate item transfers from machines directly into storage chests!

This feature currently works with the Auger Drill and Oil Pump, with support for more machines on the way. To get started, install the new Hopper Mod into an Auger Drill or Oil Pump. This allows the machine to begin sending its items out automatically.

But where do the items go? That’s where the Magnet Mods come in. Place an Auger Drill Magnet or Oil Pump Magnet inside any storage chest, and the connected machine will send its items straight there—no manual hauling needed.

Set it up once and enjoy a cleaner, more efficient operation while you focus on what matters most— raiding!
