A new version of Stormbound is coming in January, bringing New Year's Event and balance changes.
Year of Serpent Event
The Lunar New Year is approaching, so we’ve decided to celebrate the occasion with a special in-game event!
The Year of the Serpent event runs from January 20th until January 27th, 2025, 8:00 AM CET.
Event Gift
During the event, everyone will receive a gift of 200 coins. To grab the gift, just redeem a special code, which is valid from January 20th to January 27th, 2025, 8:00 AM CET.
Gift code: SERPENT
- To activate the code, go to the redeem code site.
- Enter the code in the Code field.
- Enter your Player ID in the Player ID field (you can find your Player ID in the in-game settings and copy it from there).
- Click the Redeem Code button.
More Coins
During the event, all coin gains and the coin cap will be doubled, except for quests. The daily coin cap will be set at 1,000 coins for free-to-play players, and 2,000 coins for players with a premium pass.
More Cards
Book of Dragons and Book of Toads will yield 2 extra cards for the duration of the whole event in store, starting from January 20th to January 27th, 2025, 8:00 AM CET.
Cheapened Brawl
During the event, Brawl starting on January 23rd, 8:00 AM CET will be available at 50% off, and if you own the Premium Pass, your usual discount will stack for a total of 60% off.
New Year's Event
To celebrate the New Year, we’re hosting a special event in Stormbound!
The New Year's event runs from January 7th to January 13th, 2025, ending at 8:00 AM CET.
New Year's Gift

More Cards
Book of Elders and Book of Ancients will yield 2 extra cards for the duration of the whole event in store, starting from January 7th to January 13th, 2025, 8:00 AM CET.
Ruby bonus
Moreover, every Ruby bundle will yield double the original number of rubies. This is not time-bound, and effectively lasts forever until every bundle has been bought once.
Balance changes
This release, just like any other, will bring some balance changes.
- Boomstick Officers’ ability made to deal 2/3/4/5/6 damage (down from 3/4/5/6/7)
- Brood Sages’ ability now spawns 1 strength Toad on 2/2/3/4/4 tiles (adjusted from 2/3/3/4/5)
- Conflicted Drakes’ strength is now 3/4/4/5/5 (up from 2/3/3/4/4)
- Heroic Soldiers’ strength is now 7/8/9/10/12 (up from 6/7/8/9/11)
- Fluffy Badboxers’ strength is now 6/7/8/9/11 (up from 5/6/7/8/10)
- Lasting Remains’ strength is now 8/10/12/14/16 (adjusted from 8/9/11/13/15).
