Patches is an NPC first encountered in Murkwater Cave in Limgrave, where opening a chest triggers a boss encounter with him. If reduced to about one-quarter health he surrenders, but killing him instead grants his armor, +7 spear, and Patches Bell Bearing while ending his questline. He later appears as a merchant at Scenic Isle in Liurnia, can give information related to Rya and the Abductor Virgins, and appears again at Mt. Gelmir, where he kicks the player from a cliff near a trail of Rainbow [Steam Guides 2780635040,2962429869,3229740103]
